TH New Project is Complete. Personnel Changes.
What a wonderful honor to be named
Chattanooga Times Free Press FYI
2009 Best Inspirational or Gospel Band for the southeast Tennessee
area. Thank you to all our friends who voted for us. If you get a
chance, visit their
site and thank the Times Free Press
for including Gospel music in their FYI Awards categories. Our
number one priority is to lift up Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift of love and forgiveness
and for allowing us to spread the good news through song. In spite
of our many failures and shortcomings, his mercy endures forever!
TH has finished our new project called
"Gospel Favorites". It
is a collection of some of our best loved gospel songs and the
final installment on our "Gospel" series.
TH is scheduled to be at the
2010 SGM FanFair in Pigeon Forge
this year. It's set for May 3rd - 8th and there will be a lot of
great groups and gospel music. Make you plans to attend by clicking
on the link to visit their website and purchasing your tickets in
advance. We hope to see you there!
It is with much prayer and consideration that I have decided to
accept the minister of music position at my home church (Lakeview
Church of God). I have been a part of this group for around 12 years
including my two years in the mid 90's and have sung with these guys
almost 10 years. They are my brothers and I love them dearly. They
are men who love the Lord and their #1 purpose is to magnify Jesus
through song. This is such a big change in my life, having been on
the road for the past 16 years and I did not make it lightly. Some
may remember that my father, who pastored Lakeview for over 20
years, had to step down last May due to health issues and that also
played a part in the decision as I feel the need to be more
available to help my parents.
I am thankful for the many places I've been and people that I
have met. I am still amazed at where the Lord has taken me during this
time and I am eager to see where the Lord takes me in the music at
my church. I will always be a part of TH and still help out from
time to time. Thank you for all the prayers through the years and
please continue to pray for me and my family. A super guy has been
found to take the baritone position. His name is Brian Morse, who
formerly owned and sang with Masterpeace. Brian, from Ooltewah, TN,
is a fantastic singer and most importantly a great Christian. Be
looking for more to come on Brian and the exciting things that God
is doing in the ministry of TH!
We are so grateful to The Tennessee State House of
Representatives and Speaker Williams for the tremendous welcome and
response when we visited them on the House floor at the June 9th,
2009 (4pm) session. We were recognized by the House for being named GMTC
2008 Quartet of the Year (watch
video June 9th session roll call @ 17:00 minutes). We
were given the opportunity to sing a gospel song and what an
opportunity for us to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ to our
elected officials who enact the laws of this state. Our heartfelt
thanks to group founder
Tennessee State Representative
Eric Watson
for making this all possible.
Eric formed this group in 1992 and even though he stepped down
several years ago to work in state office his vision for ministry
still lives on in us.
Our latest release "Not Another Day" is on
LO Records
compilation #44 cut #1. Written by David Livingston, it contains a
powerful message for today. With the new year it's
easy to get excited about just today but the truth is Jesus Christ is coming back soon
and it could be this day and not another day.
We have heard this message all of our lives and even though he
didn't come yesterday it could happen at anytime. Today is the day
of salvation and now is the time to work even harder in the fields.
Please contact your local radio stations, webcasts, or XM radio
stations and request it.
The song is from the project in our Tennessee Harmony
"Gospel" series entitled "Gospel
Street Revival" and is definitely going to be one
of our best to date. Rocky has again
outdone himself in the songwriting department. We recorded it at
Life Sounds studios and Michael Lee
is producer on this one. He has written a couple of great songs on
it as well. David Livingston also, as mentioned, wrote our new
release. David is one of our good friends and owns
LO Records. If you have ever had the desire to record your music in an
anointed studio, then this is the place. Check their site out by
clicking on the link.
We are taking dates for the upcoming year and would love to
worship with you. If you are interested in having TH come to your
church, concert, or ministry event, send Blair an email at
cantrellmusic@charter.net
or for more information go to our contact page. We hope
to see you at a singing, so check the concert schedule out.
Keep us in your prayers.
God bless and we look forward to seeing you in ministry.
