TH named GMTC 2008 Quartet of the Year.
What a tremendous honor and privilege to be named Quartet of the
Year at the
Gospel Music Tour
Convention. We were surprised and humbled and want to
thank everyone that voted for us. We had a wonderful time with all
the groups there. It was kind of like meeting family that you never
knew you had. A special thanks to David Livingston,
LO Records,
and the staff for being so kind and helpful. Thanks to all the folks
that came out to be a part of the concerts. We look forward to next
year's convention.
The new release "Jesus What A Savior" is #68
on the Christian Voice Top 100 for October. Written by Rocky, it's out to radio on
LO Records
cut #1 on
compilation #41. It's a beautiful ballad that expresses the awesome
magnitude of Jesus Christ.
Please contact your local radio stations, webcasts, or XM radio
stations and request it. If they don't have it, send them to our
website or to
LO Records
for a FREE copy. We can not do it without you as our partners in
this ministry.
The song is from our newest project in our Tennessee Harmony
"Gospel" series. It's entitled "Gospel
Street Revival" and is definitely going to be one
of our best to date. Rocky has again
outdone himself in the songwriting department. We recorded it at
Life Sounds studios and Michael Lee
is producer on this one. He has written a couple of great songs
on it as well. We are also doing one of David Livingston's songs. David is one of our best friends and owns
LO Records. If you have ever had the desire to record your music in an
anointed studio, then this is the place. Check their site out by
clicking on the link.
Our previous single "Love One Another" was also
written by Rocky and is doing great on the charts at #17 for
October on
the Christian Voice Top 100. This song is from our last project "Gospel Soulgrass". Rocky
wrote six of the
songs and they are diverse in style from traditional quartet gospel
to some with a little soul. Producer Michael
Lee (former pianist for The Bishops) wrote three, including a
Bluegrass tune. If you would like a copy of the project contact us at
lumbee5@charter.net
and we'll get back to you with ordering information.
A special thanks to Sandi Duncan-Clark who is a featured
writer for the
Gospel Music News. We recently did
an interview with her for September's issue and had a wonderful
time. Sandi is a tremendous lady and has a servant's heart for
groups and gospel music. Be sure to pick up your copy of the
Gospel Music News and read the article. Please remember
her father-in-law "Paul" in prayer concerning his health. I know she
and her family would appreciate it.
Make your plans to attend TN Representative Eric Watson's annual
Gospel Singin' at Johnston Park in downtown Cleveland. It will be on
October 18th at 2pm. We always have a great time and this year the
legendary Kingsmen Quartet will be the headliner. You don't want to
miss the FREE games, food, and gospel music. For more details see
flyer on the home page or visit
www.votewatson.us.
We are taking dates for the upcoming year and would love to
worship with you. If you are interested in having TH come to your church, concert,
or ministry event, send Blair an email at
cantrellmusic@charter.net. for more information. We hope
to see you at a singing, so check the concert schedule out.
Keep us in your prayers.
God bless and we look forward to seeing you in ministry.
